Australia didn’t need national side to defeat Pakistan, they could have done it with any average cricket club in Australia said a spectator in Adelaide oval last night.
Australia win by an innings and 48 runs with another very impressive performance. A victory set-up by the batsmen (especially Warner) and completed efficiently by the bowlers despite some blips in the field and a bit of toil from time to time. Pakistan offered some moments of fight in both Tests, but their bowling was just too far short of what was needed on these pitches. They’ll head home (properly home) to focus on Sri Lanka in a couple of weeks. For Australia, attention now turns to the visit of New Zealand for three Tests.
The question for Pakistan is now, who should we blame? An adventure gone horribly wrong and produced the results which everyone was expecting when initial team was announced few weeks back in Lahore.
How come bowling coach and chief selector didn’t see it coming?
Having no experience previously as a coach or selector he was appointed as a head coach, chief selector and batting coach. There was no logic behind his appointment by PCB except greed of power. He may have been a good and pious person but he failed the entire nation in his current job. He was appointed as one of highly paid professional at PCB with zero results. He had complete power over every single decision was made on Australian soil so Pakistan’s failure in all area of cricket attributes to him. Not only he should resign but also reimbursed salaries he claimed in his all roles as he was incompetent in every single role he took with PCB.
Few weeks ago when Waqar Younis took charge of a position at PCB as a bowling coach, it was his 4th attempt to accepted a position with them. Previously he blamed that he was framed but this time he had full authority to act and select bowlers and train them, yet results are same “disastrous”. If he has any regret, he should resign and never accept any position as he has no capability nor skill to have these highly paid jobs.
Prime-minister Imran Khan should take drastic measurement otherwise Pakistan cricket is also heading directly towards another Trainwreck like hockey.
