It is definitely due to PSL that now Pakistan has strong middle order with all-rounders Faheem Ashraf and Immad Waseem. PSL is proving a breeding ground for young talent. Although it is one of last league to start but has done a lot for young Pakistan talent as it was proven in India, Australia and other countries. These types of leagues are good for young domestic players and in PSL Pakistan domestic players are benefiting from this league and results are very encouraging.
The number one team who’s player never played on home soil against any international team. It is a big question mark for ICC high ups to show some courage and force team to play inside Pakistan grounds.
An impressive fight was staged by New Zealand against world top ranking T20 team Pakistan just a day earlier, Pakistan scored 148 runs for six wickets in 20 overs and in replay New Zealand was 146 in 20 overs for the loss of six wickets in Abu-Dhabi. It was 7th consecutive win for Pakistan in T20 format.
Pakistan’s young bowlers who barely have international cricket experience now have guts to control in various situations. They showed high spirit and discipline in nail biting finish. It was Shaheed Afridi who defended successfully 16 runs off the last over and didn’t let experienced Kiwi players to hit big. Credit must goes to Pakistan’s young talent including captain Sarfraz Ahmed who now is performing and making good game plans. Now Pakistan surely be proud of its bowlers attack which proving itself again and again.
It was an special moment for debutant Ajaz Patel who took his maiden international wicket against Pakistan.
Solid effort on debut from Ajaz Patel who finishes his four overs with 1-27. 💥 Glenn Phillips has just taken a good catch & Pakistan 94-4 in the 15th #PAKvNZ #UAETour pic.twitter.com/N4mvXeZt3d
