Pakistan’s second match of International Festival of Hockey against Japan ended in a 3-1 defeat on Pakistan on Thursday. Earlier, Pakistan suffered a humiliated lost against Australia 9-1.
Pakistan played 2 matches and both lost, almost losing its chance to play in finals on Sunday. In their 2nd match it was relatively easy win for Japan, beating Pakistan by 3-1. Pakistan’s only goal scored by Atiq Arshad. Both teams started match aggressively, however Pakistan’s defense made few mistakes and at the same time their forward did not materialised any chance they had. However Japan on other side made very great move and Kenty Tanaka scored two goals and Genki Matani 1.
Pakistan’s 7 debutante failed to impress and co-ordination was no way near the international standard and Japan’s player dominated most of game.
