89 – This is another one of the lowest score against Pakistan in T20. It was a convincing win for Pakistan after posting only 155 by its batsman but Pakistan bowlers well supported by the fielding. Australian batsman literally lined up to throw away their wickets one by one. Imad Wasim, after one year gap was the hero and man of the match who got 3 wickets for only 20 runs in four overs. Other bowlers also contributed to Australian humiliating loss, Faheem Ashraf and Shaheen Afridi 2 each, Hasan Ali and Shadab Khan 1 each and McDemott was run out.
This is not the first time Australia performed badly in T20 against Pakistan, out of Australia’s top 10 lowest scores 5 are against Pakistan. Yet Pakistan proved again that they are the T20’s number one team in the world.
Earlier in when Pakistan pair Babar Azam and Fakhir Zaman opened their inning strongly but at the score of 32 Fakir was out. However Mohammad Hafeez put up a good resistance and took the score to 105 when he was out for 39 runs in 14th over. Sarfraz Ahmed, Faheem Ashraf aand Imad Wasim were out without making any runs. It was again a disappointing performance by Sarfraz but he showed bit improvement in making some good decisions in the field as a captain.
